Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, the gunfight at the OK Corral, Tombstone, and Boothill Cemetery…these are just a few of the names and places that we associate with the lawless Wild West. Join this trip and ‘ride the range’ in the Grand Canyon state of Arizona, part of the American southwest. The tour concentrates on the mountains and historic old west of southern Arizona.
The tour begins in Phoenix, where you meet you tour guide, get your bikes and prepare for the ride to Show Low the next day. Show Low is the first centre allowing you a few days to ride and explore the beautiful White Mountains area, the second highest range in the state with its many mountain lakes and streams. Zane Grey lived and wrote here and John Wayne worked his ranches here.
Then you ride to Sierra Vista and discover the old west charm of southern Arizona such as Tombstone, Tuscson, Copper Mines, walk in the footsteps of the infamous Wyatt Earp, Doc Holiday and the Clanton and McLaury families, who were all key players in the gunfight at the OK Corral.
Maybe you could visit one of Tombstone's saloons, such as Big Nose Kate's, which was named after the woman believed to be the first prostitute in Tombstone and Doc Holiday's girlfriend.
