Since time immemorial, the Czech lands have been the crossroads of European cultures. The cultural character of Czech cities, villages and spa towns has always been a source of inspiration to visitors who come here from all corners of the world—now it’s your turn to be inspired and amazed.
Over 2,000 preserved castles and chateaux can be found here. Although most are owned by the state, many have been returned to their original owners but have remained open to the public.
The Czech Republic has three historical lands: Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia. During this trip we will visit Bohemia which includes the towns of Karlovy Vary, Plzen (the home of pilsner beer), and the imperial city of Prague where our hotel is situated.
After 2 nights crossing Belgium and Germany, staying in some lovely family-run hotels, we cross into the Czech Republic to start our one centre stay in Prague for the next 3 nights.
Prague itself is an amazing place, with visitors from every part of the world shopping, sightseeing and sat in the many café bars and restaurants of this historic city. There is an abundance of theatres, museums, exhibitions and music clubs which makes for a very colourful place.
There’s something quite magical about sitting down in the old town square in Prague with a cool beer watching everything going on around you.
It’s probably a good idea to do some research because there is so many places to visit - you won’t know where to start...maybe it’s worth sitting down in the old town square with a cool beer and thinking about it first!
